Couple of busy days

Hi all
Yesterday was busy.
Started out at the "dog wash"
there is one here at the campground
and we decided to do all three fur kids at once.
Learned our lesson there.
They got kind of clean and we all got wet.
After that fiasco, we took showers and got laundry done.
Millie went to a "Sew and Crow" at the base craft center.
She had a great time and is looking forward to doing it 2 more times.
We keep extending out stay here and now looking at next Friday to move on.
This will be the longest we have stayed anywhere except Jeff and Gail's, Dec 2015.
We are having a nice stay at Davis-Monthan Air Base.
Later we got together with my cousin Ken and his wife, Muriel.
They are the ones from Southern Minnesota and are out here visiting Muriel's
Aunt and Uncle here in Tucson.
Had drinks at their hotel then out for Mexican!
Both places had a band and were loud.

Today we tried to make plans at Fort Huachuca for a 3 day stay.
Found out they do not allow more than 2 pets.
So we extended our stay here and plan to drive out to visit
Kartchner Caverns as a day trip.
So when we leave here we will be making the whole trip to Portal, AZ
to meet up with Steve W.
About 11 AM we picked up Ken and Muriel for a day on the base.
Had corned beef sandwiches, coleslaw, chips, cake and soda
provided by a local RV Sales place.
They brought out a few RV's starting with the used 5th wheel
and ending with the $350,000 Class A motorhome.
Fun to look and the free food was pretty good.
After stuffing ourselves we drove out to the "bone yard"
where 100's of military aircraft are "moth balled".
Probably any one of the big ones cost more than all the RV's in the park.
We then went back to the air conditioned BWB and visited for hours.
Returned them to their hotel and came back to enjoy a sunset on an air base,

and this flowering Yucca, or maybe it is a Joshua Tree, I'm not sure.

Sorry the photos are a bit "soft", light was low and using an older camera.
One that is ok in good daylight, but not so much in low light.
Filled the truck with gas and home to finish a very nice day.
Bed early, as we are picking Ken and Muriel up at 9 AM
and going out to the Biosphere 2.

Make your day great
Tom and Millie
