Water falls!

Today we got up late
Ate breakfast
Had coffee and walked the dogs.
Washed a load of clothes
Made sandwiches
and headed up the old road into the Columbia Gorge

First stop Portland Womens Forum Overlook
Crown Point and the Columbia Gorge

We would have stopped at Crown Point, but it was closed
and the wind rocked the pickup like a baby cradle
Then on to Latourell Falls

Above is how the wind was blowing the water around
Just past the rock on the left the trail was coated with ice
We did not brave that!

Then on to Wahkeena Falls

Then the hike to the bridge above on the hiking trail
only .2 of a mile, just that it was all up hill I think a few hundred feet up.
The bridge on the trail was covered in ice.

The leaves were trapped in the ice.

Ya, it was chilly, about 28° and windy.

We did not plan for this cold and really aren't dressed warm enough.

Then on to Multnomah Falls and the iconic photo

First time I have ever seen it with ice

Yes, Millie is still with me and I think it is getting colder

Sun started setting by the time we finished looking and shopping.
And the lights came on.

And the last falls of the day.

Light was so low ended up photoshopping 

Was so cold by this time, Millie did not even get out of the truck.

Quick drive home and hot soup for supper.

Showers and a little TV

Walk the dogs and headed for bed.

Missed the sunshine, but have to get used to it for the next week.

The good side, it is going to be warmer!
