Enjoying the coast

Hi all
Time spent with my cousin Pat was so enjoyable.
Her Great Grandson is a cutie.

Felt good to get her out and about, doing some errands
and out to eat with Jeff, Gail, Butch and Kathy.
Fun evening.
We got to spend some time with my 97 year old Aunt Luella.
Boy I hope I am doing that good when I'm 77.
Hard to leave them as I had spent many summers there as a kid.

Decided to go to the coast
since it looked like there would be a few days without rain.
The look back at the Port of Longview, WA after crossing the Columbia River.

We moved into Camp Rilea,
a Armed Forces Training Facility.
We stayed here last time we came through.
Great sunrises and sunsets.

Well kept base with a relaxed feel.

Lots of training going on this time around
and we were only able to get into the "Dry" camping area.
I had made reservations so we knew that ahead of time.
Electricity is provided so we have no need for anything else.
Got to the beach and the boyz loved running around without leashes.
This is a good reason NOT to follow your GPS to the beach.

Pancho didn't want much to do with the water.

With the sun low in the sky and low tide, made for some nice shots.

Spent some time with my cousin Ed and Carol.
Got to see their daughter and her son.
Ed with Grandson Ellis.

Their son Charlie with his wife stopped in, too.
We had a great visit.
Yesterday we drove down to Seaside to visit another cousin.
Found their gallery closed (their weekend is in the middle of the week).
Stopped at their house and got to say hi to Cathy on her way out to an appointment.
Then visited with Ray for a bit in his "studio" overlooking the water.

Fueled up the truck and back to our LSF.
Ed and Carol picked us up and out to eat at Mo's.
Great view of the water at Mo's.

Had great Halibut and great conversation.
And Millie just couldn't resist.

Remembering Ron Stand, the best "boss" I ever had.
Thanks for the opportunity and all the great memories.
