Hi All
Morning sunrise was gorgeous.
Then when the sun actually broke the horizon
What a great way to start the day
Last one from Point Mugu
Kind of sad, sure enjoyed listening to the surf all night.
Got moving quickly this morning
and did the military thing
"hurry up and wait"
Had to wait about and hour for Security
to come to the Armory so we could retrieve our handguns.
On the road about 11 AM
Proceeded to drive directly through LA
What a ride!
When we arrived at Twentynine Palms
we found out what paper towels do
when they are bored
We got to the Twentynine Palms Marine Corps base
and declared the handguns like we were told to.
Found we were not able to bring any weapons onto the base,
just opposite of what we were told.
So we could not use our RV reservation.
Called the reservation desk and let them know
and asked for a refund of our first nights fee and
to cancel the remaining nights.
They did the cancellation, but claimed their policy
was no refund within 24 hours of the reservation for one night.
Will be talking to a manager tomorrow since we could not stay
based on incorrect information they provided us.
Did find a RV Park just outside the base
for only a few dollars more and it has WiFi.
Base did not in the RV Park
Got here and got set up about sunset
And you can see it was beautiful.
Still going to spend a few nights here
and hopefully meet Bill and Anne
OLP friends for many years. (On Line Photographers)
Simple supper and relax after the wild ride.
Hugs and good night
Tom and Millie
