This is what happens when you stay in one place long enough
You start spending days at "home" and don't do much
Saturday we went to Ventura Harbor
Visited the Channel Islands National Park Visitors Center
Fun day and the view from the tower, well
Was a beautiful day and a light breeze
almost to warm,
not really, just perfect
Walked along the harbor and looked at the yachts
Lots of them
Lots of money
Then we went down to where the Tall Ships are docked.
Mostly to figure out where to be going Wednesday
These were steel hull
and wooden uppers.
Will know more come Wed.
Then went to Andria's Restaurant
Had great chowder and Halibut fish n chips.
Headed for home and a nice relaxing evening.
Sunday we decided to stay and enjoy the campground
and the beach
another beautiful day.
Millie got lots of quilt time
and we really just relaxed.
Sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine and
the neighbors all enjoy a wonderful day
Grilled salmon and a potato for supper.
As evening progressed, I got chilled and started feeling sick
so I went to bed.
Got up today feeling fine.
Good thing because we wanted to go to Camarillo
Visited the Camarillo Ranch House
Home of one of the first settlers in the area.
Ranched and farmed 10,000 acres to start.
Victorian style home 2 stories tall and a basement
very unusual in the area.
The grounds are spectacular
and the interior has been restored
and is now run by the City of Camarillo.
Millie loved the wrap around porch.
Home to left overs,
yes, we have left overs and these were as good the second time around.
So it takes a few days to accumulate enough for the blog
especially when we stay "home" one day.
Now a little ice cream for dessert and off to bed.
Hugs to all
Tom and Millie
