Top of a Volcano!

Hi all
Yesterday we enjoyed a great day in Yellowstone NP
Of course it is the caldera of an ancient volcano

and is about as close to the hot stuff as I care to go.
So much scenery and so little time to take in as much as we could.
Got to see a Grizzly, not so up close

and hot pools

You know, typical Yellowstone stuff.

Buffalo, fishermen, tourists, hot pools, geysers and mountains.

Had a picnic lunch by the big lake
and enjoyed the cool weather.
Spending the day with Chris and Rob
seemed like people we have known all along.
Sure makes the time together so enjoyable.
On our way back to camp
we found an Elk jam

When lots of Elk lay by the side of the road
to watch the tourists do stupid things.

Back home before dark and
went for some really good pizza and beer.
An absolutely great day with cousins (new found friends)
Good night's sleep
and off for new adventures today.
