Utah!

Hi all
We are finally out from the hinterlands.
Back to cell, internet and tv signals.
Was interesting to go without for a while.

Since Montrose, we moved on to Mesa Verde.
The drive was gorgeous.

They had a great WiFi signal at the campground,
which surprised the heck out of me, just no internet.
We had a great 5 nights and Millie finally got to go on the tours of the ruins.
She did 2 tours, one per day.

I elected not to. There is just not much air up there.
I did a lot of walking, just avoiding the climbs down into the canyons.
Especially the climb out.
So I spent my time while she hiked, talking to people and enjoying the top of the mesa.

We had 2 great campsites.
We had to move due to closing of most of the campground.

Left the Mesa and headed to Blanding, UT.
Short trip which gave us time to do trailer and household duties on the travel day.
Yesterday we drove out to Hovenweep National Monument and Canyons of the Ancients.
Long drive, but was very much worth it.
Drove out to one of the more remote ruins and finally put the F350 4X4 to the test.
I'm here so we know it passed.

Here in Blanding for all the services. Kind of just a gravel parking lot,
and it had everything we needed.

Today we are heading to Goosenecks State Park near Mexican Hat, UT.
Short drive and hope to get one of the spectacular view sites.

Weather has been great, atmosphere mostly clear, temps are chilly at night and pleasant during the day. Warm in the sunshine and cool in the shade.

So we continue our travels looking for less tourist crowded places.
This is truly a great country with so many great caring people.

Make your day great
Tom and Millie
