Hi all
As you all ready know we made it to Colorado.
Spending a few days with Shawn and Mark at their home.
Then the 4 of us headed south to Canon City, CO.
Known for the Royal Gorge, at one time the highest suspension bridge.
It may still be since I don't know if somewhere has taken the challenge and exceeded the record.
Staying at the Royal Gorge KOA so that Shawn and Mark could have a cabin.
We cook together in our rig and spend most of our time out doing things.
Yesterday we went to the Colorado Museum of Prisons.
Housed in a one time womens prison right next to one of the current state prisons.
Was an interesting couple of hours, as are most museums.
Even though I am not a big museum fan, I do make a point to read and learn.
And I do find many of them to have interesting facts, photos and stories.
Like everything, some are better than others.
After we went to Worlds End Brewing for a flight of beers and lunch.
Good food, good beer and good people to be with.
Millie and Shawn found a yarn shop and spent some time there
while Mark and I wandered along main street.
Colorado rancher.
Something we have know ever since we have had a dog.
Home for a nap and great supper.
I spent some time, after dark, visiting with a couple from Minnesota.
Just across the road from our site.
Today we are taking the train ride through the gorge.
We all booked the Vista Dome, hopefully for a great view of the gorge from the bottom.
Don't know what else the day will bring, we just know we will enjoy it.
Make your day great
Tom and Millie
