Coming soon!

 Hi all

Well, we did it.

Found a State Park in Michigan that has virtually no cell signal.

So we go into town to check email and solidify plans for our next leg of travel.

We are right on Lake Michigan at Ludington State Park.

Short walk to the beach and nice neighbors with good social distancing.

We move on Thursday and hopeful about getting good connection.

then I will update and catch up with photos.

See you then.

Make your day great.

End of the First Month

 Hi all

Wow, where does the time go when you are having fun?

A few days on the farm with family

.

Learning a bit about a Dairy operation and never even tasted the milk.

Had a great time getting to know the Great Nieces and Nephews.

Was sad to go, but time to leave before they wanted to see us go.
We do try to not wear out out welcome.

From East Central Wisconsin to the UP (Upper Peninsula) of Michigan.
Nice little Casino RV park at a reasonable cost.

Likely won't have time to donate anything additional to the Tribe's coffers,
other than payment for the RV park.

For our last day of the month we went up to Marquette, Michigan
on the South shore of Lake Superior.

Enjoyed the scenery on our trip, both up and back.
The forest was painted and unfortunately the lighting was less than ideal.

Visited a couple of Breweries, including lunch at the last one.

Made a quick trip to Kohls Department store.
After headed back towards the RV park with a couple of stops on the way.
Lake Superior south shore in between rain showers.
Almost like being at the ocean, just no salt in the air.

The fall colors just before sunset along the road home.

Even though the weather (cloudy, occasional showers, windy and only in the 50's)
did not cooperate well, we had a great day.

So always make your day great and be thankful for all you have!

So Busy, it gets hard to find time.

 Hi all

Almost 2 weeks since I posted and we have been busy.

Friends, family, well you know the story.

We left Minnesota and made our way to Beaver Dam, WI

to spend time with long time friends and their family.

They had a great place to stay, on a farmstead just behind their daughters home.

Made visiting real easy and comfortable.

A little drinking, a lot of eating and some great times with them.

Finally met some of their grandkids, such a wonderful time.

Visited wineries, distillery and just some general sight seeing.

Mostly just relaxed and enjoyed the company.

From there we went up to Door County for the week, Monday thru Friday.

Wineries, breweries, food and hiking.

Makes everything seem perfect and the crowds were tolerable.

Tried a couple of wineries.

A brewery and a "fish boil".

Good show and the fish was pretty good too!

And lots of good views along Lake Michigan.

The hiking trails to some of the viewpoints were interesting on their own.

Our Door County campsite, lots of good isolation until our last night, then a few neighbors.

After Door County we moved on to Millie's Niece's family on a dairy farm.

So nice out in the country with family.

Kids are great with lots of activity and just fun to be around.

Roasted hotdogs, made smores and learned a bit about dairy operation.

Aaron even found time to take me out to shoot a few targets.

Saturday afternoon they took us out to the Horicon National Wildlife Refuge.

Click and learn a little here. Horicon NWR

Fun with the family.

Watching each other's back!

Pretties in the marsh.

Nice walk on a floating boardwalk out into the marsh,

saw a few birds, waterfowl and very few other people.

Great scenic views.

Ended the day with grilled steaks and potatoes.

Wonderful day and loved getting to know the kids.

Make your day great
