Monday

Good Evening, yes, was a busy and rewarding day so staying up to post.
Here is our Morning campsite photo.

Went for a tour of the Grand Coulee Dam and pumping station. It is the largest hydroelectric production dam in the US. It is really impressive and worth the stop if you are in Washington.

Had to talk her into not jumping!

On our way back to camp after a bit of museum-ing and postcard buying.
We stopped to get a photo of St. Henry's Catholic Church.
This guy was out pruning the shrubbery

.
Went fr a walk late in the afternoon down to the boat launch and swimming beach.

Back in camp we had a few visitors cleaning up the campground.

And a little bit of last light on the cliffs across the Reservoir.

Fun day and really relaxed acting like tourists.
Have a great evening and enjoy where you are.

Post Falls, ID

Good morning all
Yesterday was pretty much a travel day.
Fall in the Rockies is stunning. Yes I am working on some photos but time slips away so fast.
Left Garrison, MT and spent the day just traveling I90.
Millie is learning to drive with a big white box, in the mountains.
First downhill 6% grade was a learning experience for her.
Proved you can teach 39 year old women new tricks!
She did great and was amazed at the technology the RAM has.
Seems to have been built to tow in the mountains.

Went out last night for pizza and drinks, all by ourselves.
And the other 100+ people in the place.
Was loud and great pizza and beer.

Stayed in a RV Resort, NOT us.
They did put us in the back with few other occupied sites.
Not sure if they were hiding us or not
But we were happy that other than road noise was peaceful.
The place is in the middle of Post Falls so traffic was unavoidable.

Today headed for Grand Coulee Dam.
May spend the night there as will be a short trip if we do.
Hope there is lots to see and do there.
Want to start playing tourist rather than just going place to place.in a hurry.

Good morning one and all

Yesterday was a long day and we saw some beautiful country. Drive from Helena to Garrison along the Little Blackfoot River is worth the trip. Next time will go there without a big white box and poke around a little.

Here is our campsite in Garrison

Make your day great

Roat Ranch

Good chilly morning from Roat Ranch.
Taking the time in the middle of Montana to relax and rest. Spent the day on the ranch and had a great supper with Jim, Jan and Dan. Chicken Fried Steak and more tasty delights. Spent hours talking and laughing.

Woke up today with the furnace running. Checked outside and was 26°. About 60 in the trailer. Making coffee to get us warmed up.

Not sure what the day holds. Do know we are going to go have lunch at the Little Montana Chuckwagon. According to Dan, best food in 50 miles. (only place to get food in 38 miles) and Jan owns it so it must be true.

From Roat Ranch, have a great Thursday (Saturday again for us)!

Grass Range, MT

Good morning one and all!

Tuesday was a pack up and travel day. Spent the morning putting all back in order and necessary trailer duties. Got to watch the contractor apply the chinking to Jaime and Barb's cabin. WOW, did they make it look easy and it turned out great, my opinion only as it wasn't perfectly straight and even......... oh wait, that look would not fit a log look anyway. Talked to him and he told me that all most all owners prefer the more hand made and applied look anyway.

Grabbed a shot of Elska with a happy face at Jaime and Barb's before we left. She sure loves being able to roam around as a "ranch" dog.

Left about 12:30 pm and made a stop in Billings for gas, groceries and fast food lunch. Then headed north to Grass Range, Really enjoyed the change of scenery and wondered why the Montana road builders always looked for the highest point to take the road over. The 8 miles of gravel back into Roat Ranch was slow going as our tires are inflated for our load and ride very stiff. But hey, with no specific time frame we just slow down and enjoy the ride.

Truck is performing really well, much of the time hard to tell the trailer is back there. Do notice on the hills and with a side wind and since it handles so well it is comfortable.

That's all this morning and you have a great Wednesday, or as we like to call it .........Saturday!
