Travel across Texas

HI All!

Thursday was our first full Texas travel day.
Did start out with a great sunrise
Although nowhere near as dramatic as the evening before

Our campsite in Brownfield, the Walmart parking lot.

Continued our travel across Texas
Have pretty much made the transition from desert
To farming and ranching

Still a lot of cactus present
And a lot of irrigation and pretty green fields.
and a lot of this

Fought 20-30 MPH cross winds all day
And glad to make it to Throckmorton, TX
Nice little city RV camp, full hookups for only $15

Level gravel sites and quiet neighbors
Most appeared to be working in the area
As most vehicles are gone and RV remaining all day
Site weren't very big, but only 11 sites total and nobody in front or behind.

Now a few shots of Rule, TX
Looks like the economy is having a significant impact on Main Street.
So many store fronts boarded up
and is actually a pretty little town

Short trip to Fort Worth (actually staying in Denton, TX
Just north of Fort Worth
Visiting with Millie’s cousin Jane
and staying a few days to let the expanse of Texas sink in.

Make your day great
Hugs
Tom and Millie
