Boy did this day last a long time!

Hi all!
Happy longest day of the year.
15 hours and 53 minutes here
and it was sunny the whole time!
I know, I know the day is still only 24 hours
and it hasn't changed for a long time.
We also get a full moon
and the temps are great and the wind died down.

Took Millie for a sunset cruise
and had a beautiful Moon rise.

As we returned to the cabin the moon was guiding the way,

Right to our front door!
















Spent a lot of the day planning and starting
the new entertainment center.
Will be custom built in to match the Knotty Pine interior,
It has to house the portable AC
the electric fireplace heater,
the DVD player and the stereo.
Everything else is mounted on the wall.
Will post photos when completed.

Now the days will now start getting shorter.
We all know what that means in 6 months. :(

Summer moving fast

Hi all
Garage sale was a success!
Packing the remains and donating.
One truck load so far and hoping only one to go.

Week has gone by so fast and next week the days start getting shorter.
We all know what that means.
Tom and Millie are planning Big Adventure II
mostly a completion of the original.
Now planning to be back for the Holidays.
Kinda missed those last year.
Even though we spent some with relatives
it was not "home".
I also think the kids missed us.
I know we missed them.

Out to the lake for a few days
Last night's sunset

Each one is unique and so nice to enjoy
Was a really warm when we left town
and almost chilly when we got here.
Not really chilly, just felt so much cooler than town.

Woke up to a different view this morning.

Sat out on the deck and enjoyed the morning fog
and a cup of coffee.
So peaceful at 6 am on the lake.

Saturday AM

Good morning all
Busy week getting ready and having a garage sale.
So far good response and the "pile" is smaller.
Today is the last day and the kids are running it.
We came to the lake last night as we have a Lake Assoc. meeting this morning.
Hope the kids have a good response and the weather a bit more friendly.
Was beastly hot for the sale Thurs and Fri.
So nice to have a breeze blowing through the cabin this morning.
Also a great sunrise.

Closing out another week and many projects still not started.
Garage sales do take up so much time.

We are going to relax and stay cool this weekend
Then back to town to pack up the remnants of the sale
and get the garage back
maybe even making another attempt to find the leak in the camper.

Life continues to move much too fast!

Hi All
Can hardly believe we are into June and coming up so soon
the days will begin getting shorter.
Still haven't planted the garden
solved the leak in the camper
finished the ceiling in the basement
installed the new flooring in the kitchen
or started the entertainment center at the lake.

Garage sale this coming weekend
and Millie and the girls have been working furiously to be ready.
Will be helping them with that and maybe
running back to the lake to meet the pest control contractor.
Have to wait for his call and see if I can tear myself away from the sale.

I keep getting sidetracked every evening
so many great sunsets from the deck.
