Hi all
We are home and thankful for another great Big Adventure.
Hope you all enjoyed the journey.
Now we get to settle in to life in ND in the winter.
Some work to get the trailer emptied and winterized.
Hope to get it done today so it can take a long winters nap.
Merry Christmas to all and remember
Make your day great.

Home today
Hi all
I am sitting at a Flying J truck stop in Beach, ND.
6 AM and we are getting ready to make the last run
to the other end of the state, and home.
Left Las Vegas Tuesday right after Chelsey headed for the Airport.
400+ miles to Salt Lake City and spent two nights with cousin Rob and Chris.
Wednesday it snowed most of the day.
Was great to spend the day with them.
They gave us a tour of the lights downtown when we went out to eat Wed. eve.
Thursday we hit the road, heading for Butte, MT, about 425 miles.
Temperatures all heading down as we headed up.
Got to just outside of Butte and set up in a RV park at dusk.
Friday morning it was 12°. BRRRRR.
On the road just after sunrise heading east.
Made this the long day at 527 miles since we had a tail wind,
perfect roads and rising temps.
Pulled into the truck stop after sunset and glad to stop for the night
and glad to be back in ND.
33 this morning and headed for the 40's
warmest since we left Las Vegas.
Somewhere, along the road, we found where the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man pasture.
Or a least where he Poops. LOL!
Off to fill the truck and hit the road
Make your day great.

On our way home.
Hi all
Well, we had a great time with Chelsey out to see Hoover Dam.
Was a nice day with little wind, partly sunny skies and upper 60's.
Spent most of the day there and had ice cream.
We were able to get a Power House Tour,
so we stood in line and rode the elevator to the lowest levels of the dam.
Lots of Art Decco throughout the dam.
Back to the LSF and then to the Casino.
Supper at the Buffet and a little gambling.
Millie and I have come out ahead, adding up all the gambling since we left,
and have come out with more money than we put in.
Not much, just makes for lots of free entertainment.
Next morning (Tuesday) we were all up at 4 AM.
Shortly before 5 AM Chelsey got an Uber to the Airport.
She was off on her journey home.
We packed up the trailer and got on the road by 6:30 AM.
Really early for us and a bit too early for "rush hour".
Pulled into my Cousin's home just before 5 PM.
400+ miles to just north of Salt Lake City.
Here we are parked at Rob and Chris's the following morning.
This is why we left and why we are staying here today to let the roads dry.
Make your day great.

Optical Overload
Hi all
Yep, it has been a few days and I would appologize
but it was the internet's fault.
There was none.
We went out to Valley of Fire State Park, NV.
No service of any kind in the campground.
Although occasionally we would get a text come in,
we could not even send a text.
I think the cell signal would occasionally reflect off of
an overflying airplane or weather balloon.
Anyway, this state park is a must see if you are in the area.
If you are camping, the campground is very nice and pretty.
Not camping, Las Vegas is only about an hour away.
The campground had an area with full hookups and an area without.
We stayed in the full hookup area, where the sun don't shine till about 10 AM.
There are other good things about the campground, besides us being there.
They were friendly but only showed up one morning.
We did see more of the herd on our multiple trips through the park.
The scenic views along the park drive are spectacular.
Hard to believe this is in the desert with so many colors.
We spent a lot of time hiking some of the trails
and some not on trails.
Just hiking among the rocks and exploring little canyons was a highlight.
I was going to report this graffiti, just could not find a tribe elder. LOL
Chelsey and Millie even posed for some shots.
Along with Lefty
Chelsey caught me in a rare photo.
And all four of us RV'rs.
Then of course the highlight is Fire Wave trail.
Unbelievable what Mother Nature did to make this amazing area.
Did you ever wonder how long children have been fantasizing about space flight?
Well, they even had space ship toys to play with even when they weren't out
chiseling graffiti into canyon walls.
So our journey to Valley of Fire has come to an end
and we are back in Las Vegas.
Today planning a trip to the dam.
Tomorrow we put Chelsey back on the plane home, with lots of great memories
and one or two things crossed off her bucket list.
Make your day great and "see" what's around you.
